Its been a while since my last article and now I have a little bit spare time and although I would rather eat choclate or cookies right know, I write anyway
I guess the last thing I told you guys about, was the Cape Reinga trip to the top of NZ. Afterwards I had to head down quite quickly to catch my bus to Whangarei. There I would meet Kenneth and Andy – two couchsurfers (one host, one surfer). Kenneth took us to really nice places – waterfalls and a cave! It was already dark when we arrived at the cave and still we werent afraid enough to not go inside!
So we grapped our flashlights and started to exlore the cave! Its a bit weird and very very dark, especially when we turned the light off…. but only then you could see the green dots everywhere on the top and the walls: Glowworms! This glowworms are really worms and they are green! It was an amazing place and a lot of fun
So now I can save the money for the famous cave close to Hamilton – I’ve already seen it!
The next morning I took the bus to Hamilton to get to the farm, where I have been since then (about 2 weeks). The farm is for my standards quite big, but for NZ-standards quite small. Joy has about 20 horses and some cows. The first week we had a horsewhispering course here, which was quite interesting and the ladies where all very nice! Since they are gone its much quiter here, but the sun is shining (well, most of the times) and I can ride as much as I want to. Apart from that I try to help Joy whereever she needs help. Thats sometimes quite hard, because I dont really understand her very well, so I try to figure out what she wants and I guess its working quite good
I am still here, so I cant be that bad
The horse riding is really great. I love it! Although I am still not perfect (I really thought it would go faster) but I am improving every day a little bit. Jo (she should teach me) said yesterday that I am not bad – I am a natural rider… Wow! But I simple guess, that they dont care about the “Schenkellage” and the perfectness of my riding style… So pure Charly will have to correct everything I learned wrong when I am coming home again!
This weekend I will go to Rotorua – see some funny bubble things
Oh, and the first night Rema, a cute little white dog, gave birth to 4 cute little puppys!
SOOOO adorable! And yesterday they open the first time the eyes! So cute! I love animals! They are nice to have around, although it means work. I hope to post some pictures soon.
Oh, and the kids go to this very very fancy super expensie St. Peters School in Cambridge! I am so envy! They have HORSES at the school and riding on their schedule! Thats just crazy!!!!!!!
