Finally we left Argentina – how sad! I am kind of sad – but acutally not really. I might be sad, when… Never mind.
So Argentina – What was the last info I gave? I have no clue. Ah, Iguazu, right?
From Iguazu we went to salta, but stayed a night in Corrientes couchsurfing with Julian – a really special guy – for some it would might have been hard, but we had a great time with him
He at least understood your kind of humor!
So then Salta – in Salta we had a really nice hostal (the first nice one we had). One day we went hiking and then we left for Humahuaca (which I can perfectly write but not pronounce – ask Eva!) In Humahuaca we had soooooo much luck – incredible. We went to the hostal of the lonley planet, but there was nobody (strange, isn´t it?) so we went to the on on the other side of the street and checked in.
We said to Gustavo (who works there) that we want to do some hiking so he called the other Gustavo to explain the trips. This one was really sympathic so we signed up for a half day trip to the “Mirador de Hornocal”. I then asked as well in what hight we are right now and he said “2950m”!!!! WHAT?¿? Ok, Salta was about 1200m and we went in 4 hours to Humahuaca without any serpentines (that´s the name?) and we are now in 3000m? How did we got so high?¿? WOW! That was a feeling – you couldnt breave, the air was so dry, we were nearly dying… no, joking! It was just strange, how we got there without even recognizing it! But there we where and it was nice. Its a small tiny town in the middle of a great valley and mountains around. Its famous for the 7 coloured mointains. And its very dry (many many catus) and during the night freezing, freezing cold. We didnt had any heaters and I was glad, that I brought my sleeping bag with me. The next day we went to the tour which was nice (4200m), because Gustavo is a great tourguide (if you get there, ask for him!!!) and Marcelo the owner of the hostal (Hostal Humahuaca, Calle bueos aires) went with us. We had a great time with great people. Fotos might follow.
The next day we went just with Marcelo to the “Cerro de las señoritas” and he didnt charged us anything. Great guy I can say! The señoritas are “stonehills of sand”, deep read with bizzare forms and there, there it was: the feeling! This feeling: this is why I am on the road! This amazing place in between the mountains, that even local people dont know well – you cant describe it and all just because of Marcelo who showed us his secret favourit places. We had a great time with him and finally he even settled us to a private room (instead of the drom without bathroom) with privat bathroom for free and THEN even let us sleep one night without paying in the hostal! How crazy is that? We loved him of course
This morning he got up, make us medialunas (crossaints) and gave us even more than the normal 2 ones! If the world would have more people like him,….
But the best thing about him was, the way he thinks. That he is super kind, you can see. We had a very good talk about people and the way they are and I just realized that I am going through this world kind of blind. Easy example: walking on a street there will be several people begging you for money(or other things?). Here a lot here, but even in europe you can find them. So what I normally do is ignoring them and passing without watching them. But that is sooo sad. If I even dont watch them, how can I know what the want and what there intentions are? There might be some, that just NEED the money, others just want to get your money and are mean. But if you dont watch them – how will you know? And if you watch them, what is wrong with saying, “no, I am sorry! I have nothing for you!”? I cant solve the problems of all the poor people and I dont have to give my money to everybody and there is nothing wrong with it. So why should I be ashamed of it? There is no reason. And even more: if I look this person in the eyes and pay attation on him - isn´t that not more what they get usually? Just not ignoring him, treating it as human beeing, who is worth at least a truth answer and a glance. How can I know if its just not a little bit of humanity what this person needs, if I dont even look at it?
I will try my best to change my habit!
ok, enough of this now. So we arrived in Bolivia. The people look diffrent. The clothes are diffrent. But we will find out more soon.
I might go on a desert trip for 4 days with volcanos, flamingos, lagunas, villigas etc…. Tomorrow we will go horseriding!
